Thread breakage can be caused by a number of things. Check your thread itself and the machine tension. If those look ok, it also could be caused by bobbin backlash. Increase the delays before and after single stitch, 100 at a time and see if the problem persists. Don’t go over 800 with either.
Also, a good quality backlash spring may help.
One other setting you can play with would be your needle stop distance in preferences.
