Frequent bobbin backlash or bobbin thread breaks

This is most likely due to something with your machine. Check your needle, throat plate and bobbin. If it only occurs while using the IQ, your Dwell setting may be too high. Reduce your Dwell setting and replace your bobbin backlash spring.
