I think I have a loose cable going into the junction box. How do I fix it?

Remove the screws holding the cover on the junction box. Pull the cover off from the back of the junction box. You should now be able to re-insert the connector and grommet if it is loose. While you have the junction box open, it is a good time to check all of the wires to make sure they are secure. After securing the wires, test the system to make sure that there are no errors. Once you have successfully tested the system, replace the junction box cover and screw down.

If you have an older junction box with wire ties on the sides, these wire ties have been known to damage the cords. Please contact us through the support page ( for a replacement wiring harness if you suspect this could be the cause.
